DO YOU NEED A JOB?!

Hey, if you are finishing or finished at least grade nine, we have a job offer for you! We have a number of openings for library pages. (A page is a student hired by the library to put items away and keep them in order.) It's a great job for a student. Flexible hours, no late shifts, no transfats flying through the air! And the best part is you get me as your supervisor. So, if this sounds like a good fit for you, come down to the library and fill out an application and attach it to a copy of your resume. We'll be doing interviews in the next couple of weeks. Don't miss out on this awesome opportunity!

That's right - but don't worry. If you can read this blog entry then you can easily read subtitles! Hope to see you there.

SLEEP APNEA - Hmm?

There's going to be a public information presentation at the Library on Tuesday, April 17th at 7:00 p.m. on Sleep Apnea. Heard of it, but don't know what it is? Well, sleep apnea is no laughing matter. It's means you stop breathing briefly while you are asleep. It can have a lot of serious health implications. So if you know of anyone that suffers from this condition, they should head on down to the Library for this free and informative presentation. This session is cosponsored with Association of Canadian Travellers and the Saskatchewan Lung Association.

Don't laugh - at least it's a start!!!

Guess what we've got. Go on, guess! DVD's just for teens!!!!!!!! Stop the presses! Can it really be true? Well, it is true. In our ongoing quest to obtain materials suited just to teens, we have created a brand new collection just for you. But, here's the part that might make you laugh. We have so far, received a grand total of 4 DVD's. Wow! But don't despair. There's more on the way. They will be kept on the wire rack mounted on the wall in the teen section, right at the start of the hardcover YA fiction books. So next time you're in, take a peek to see if we have anything on there. If not, we will, very soon. And as always, your suggestions are appreciated........

What's showing in April, you ask?!

Well, we have an impressive line-up of flicks showing in the lovely Mahon Auditorium, nestled away in the bowels of the library (that would be in the basement, for the uninitiated). Actually, the Mahon Auditorium is like a hidden jewel right here in Prince Albert! I don't think a lot of people even know it's there. But they should, because it is very nice. (We just had the seats cleaned, and there's new paint and new carpet). Sweet!!! But don't take my word for it - come see for yourself!

All showings are on Sundays at 2:00 p.m. and are free of charge.

April 1 Eragon (102 mins., PG)

April 8 LIBRARY CLOSED

April 15 The Pursuit of Happyness (117 mins., PG)

April 22 Freedom Writers (123 mins., PG)

April 29 The Queen (103 mins., G)
